Sen Leila Delima and Pres. Rodrigo Duterte continue their political battle until now since it start before the May 2016 election campaign. Sen. Leila De Lima filed a petition to the Supreme Court a Writ of Habeas Data.The Palace ignored the petition filed by the lady senator against the tough talking President.
As a replied and comment by the Palace, Sec. Ernesto Abella Presidential Spokesperson said"Senator Leila De lima is apparently playing the gender card as a shield against mounting evidence of her ties with high profile dr*g lords and the proliferation of dr*g trade in Bilibid"
The Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Sec. Salvador Panelo defended the Palace against De Lima's petition" The complaint is she's being harassed, She's not being harassed. Moreover , the President is immune from Suit but even if he is not, the petition has no basis in fact nor in law". These were the defense of the palace as how they ignore the petition of De Lima.
